Barcelona have a new Xavi in their ranks, Xavi Simons and at the age of just 12-years-old, he is already attracting attention from the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are just one of the teams that are interested in trying to lure the teenage sensation, who is ironically named after the great Spanish midfielder, away from La Masia.

The Premier League champions are believed to have been tracking Simons for a number of months, but interested has heightened following a number of impressive performances at the La Liga Promises tournament held last month.

The tournament is famous for showcasing the best young talent from Spain and it looks like Simons is the next name on that list.

Simons, who is the son of former Eredivisie striker Regillo Simons, joined Barcelona at the age of just seven from Villarreal. His Dad had confirmed that Chelsea failed with a bid in 2014 but remain interested.

Even at a younger age they were starting to approach me making offers for Xavi, asking to be his agents, offering shoes and contracts and money like you can’t imagine.

Here is a quick clip of the youngster in action.
