Serbian defender, Branislav Ivanovic is close to agreeing on a new 12-month extension at Stamford Bridge, according to the Evening Standard.
Ivanovic’s current deal expires at the end of the season and the defender is a thought to be a target for both Milan clubs in Italy, as well as the likes of Galatasaray.
Chelsea have a strict policy when offering new contracts to players above the age of 30. Above that age, Chelsea are keen to offer players year-by-year renewals.

Ivanovic was keen to secure a two-year-deal at Stamford Bridge but will be offered a 12-month extension. The Serbian will have the chance to earn himself another 12-month deal at the end of that, depending on how many games he features in the 2016/17 season.
Under Jose Mourinho, Ivanovic suffered a huge dip in form but since Guus Hiddink’s arrival, it seems the defender has turned a corner.
He looks set to join Ruben Loftus-Cheek in penning a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
