Sunday’s FA Cup hero, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is ready to commit his long-term future to Chelsea Football Club, according to the Telegraph.
The midfielder’s current deal at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of next season and it looked as if talks were stalling between both parties under Jose Mourinho.
Despite the former Chelsea boss promising to give the 19-year-old some regular minutes, consistent football was hard to come by for Loftus-Cheek. With contract talks on the rocks, the midfielder attracted interest from the top teams around Europe.
The club now believe that the player is heading into the right direction at the club, with both the club and the player believing he has all the minerals to become a first-team regular.

Chelsea did have concerns over the player’s consistency, despite his great technical ability. They now accept the midfielder needs a run of the games in the first-team to continue his development.
The new contract is thought to be a five-year-deal worth around £40,000 a week.
