On-loan Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado could return to the club at the end of this season, as it seems that he is not part of Massimiliano Allegri’s plans at Juventus.
It appeared until recently that the Colombian international was going to secure a permanent move to Juventus after his loan spell.
Although no official buy-out clause was agreed by the two clubs, Italian football website Calciomercato reported a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ had been reached by the two teams for Cuadrado’s transfer.

Since the turn of the year, it looks as if the Colombian has fallen out of his managers plans. Allegri has decided to swap Juventus to a 3-5-2 formation, in an attempt to return his side to the top of the Serie A table. A formation such as this means wingers are omitted from the side, with a more defensive wide player favoured.
Cuadrado has not started a game in 2016 after being benched against Verona and Sampdoria, and with a lack of game time on the horizon, he may return to Chelsea at the end of the season after all.
Ahead of his loan move last summer, Juventus reportedly agreed to pay a fee of €27 million (£20 million) to sign Cuadrado from the Blues, but it is believed the Italian club now want to spend no more than €10-15 million (£7-11 million) on the player. This fee is likely to be too low for Chelsea to accept, meaning the winger could return home this summer.
Cuadrado has scored just two goals in 22 appearances for the Old Lady this season, but should he return to Chelsea, he would provide more competition for the winger’s currently at Stamford Bridge.
