Chelsea are eyeing a £20m move for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, according to The Evening Standard.
The Algerian has set the Premier League alight this season, with his 13 goals and seven assists helping Leicester maintain their astonishing title challenge.
And following Chelsea’s 3-3 draw with Everton on Saturday, speculation linking the Foxes’ star with a move to Stamford Bridge has increased.
However, a move does seem incredibly unlikely, with the winger previously stating his intentions to stay at the King Power Stadium.
And given the contrasting fortunes of both clubs’ 2015/16 campaign, with Chelsea down in 14th whilst Leicester occupy the top spot in the Premier League, Mahrez could be forgiven for turning a potential move down.
The Blues, who have also been linked with Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira in the January transfer window, will be looking to continue their unbeaten run under interim boss Guus Hiddink this weekend when they travel to The Emirates to face an in-form Arsenal side.
