Reports have emerged this morning that suggests that Chelsea have doubts over their potential move for Alexandre Pato.
According to the Daily Star, Chelsea have raised doubts over the striker’s fitness, as the striker has not played since November. As well as the fact he will require a work permit to secure his move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are thought to be considering alternatives to the former AC Milan striker and could pursue a loan deal for the Brazilian with a view to a permanent switch on a three-year contract if he makes an impact.
A reported £8m move had been agreed as negotiations enter the final stages.
Pato’s arrival could also spark the end of Falcao’s turbulent career at Stamford Bridge. According to the report, Chelsea will try and cut the Colombian’s deal short again if Pato joins the club.
The Blues have already tried to send Falcao back to his parent club AS Monaco, however the Ligue 1 side rejected the move because of his injuries. There is now thought to be a possibility which could resurrect the deal.
