What’s the first thing you think of when you’re watching Diego Costa terrorise the latest Premier League defence? Chances are it’s probably not that he’s a funny guy!
Yet the Express today reports that Diego Costa’s Brazilian team-mate Willian has revealed Diego Costa is the funniest member of the squad, in a recent Facebook Q&A.
When asked which team-mate was the funniest Willian said:
Diego Costa is the one who plays around a lot, who jokes a lot in the dressing room.
This will not come as a surprise to some Chelsea fans, who have often been told by previous managers and players what a nice guy Costa is. It seems as long as you aren’t an opposing defender you and Diego will get along fine.
Willian, 27, goes on to say:
It’s just his way, joking around with all of us, every hour of every day.
This will come as good news as in recent weeks Costa has been a rejuvenated figure under manager Guus Hiddink, preferring to score goals, and contribute to the team, rather than appear on the back pages of the newspapers for all the wrong reasons, as he so often has in the past.
It’s important to remember that throughout Chelsea’s poor start to the season Brazilian winger Willian one of the only shining lights. However when asked about his best moment of his career so far Willian was unsure:
I think it’s the moments I am living right now – my recent form. I hope to keep this up or even improve on it. I really hope I can maintain this good spell.
