Atletico Madrid are reportedly ready to splash their cash on Diego Costa to replace the out-going Jackson Martinez.
According to the Independent, who quote the Daily Telegraph, the £31m the club raised by selling the Colombian striker to the Chinese side, Guangzhou Evergrande, they will look to use to bring back Costa.
Ever since joining the club, reports have constantly linked Costa with a return to Spain with suggestions the player has not adapted to life in England.
Chelsea signed the striker from the Spanish side last season in what looked to be the missing piece in the club’s jigsaw, with Costa thought to be the ideal alternative to Didier Drogba.

Costa enjoyed a better first season in England than anyone could have anticipated after taking to the Premier League with ease. However, his second season at Stamford Bridge has proved much more of a struggle for the striker.
There were widespread reports that the striker played a big role in the sacking of Jose Mourinho, following reported bust-ups and disagreements. Since Guus Hiddink has taken over, the striker has been in red-hot form in front of goal.
