Former Liverpool striker and BT Sport pundit, Michael Owen believes Chelsea will steal a narrow victory against West Ham on Saturday.

Giving his predictions to Bet Victor, Owen believes that Chelsea will get over their FA Cup disappointment against Everton, despite their poor performance at Goodison Park.

Owen said:

A lot of people were disappointed with Chelsea’s performance at Goodison in the FA Cup but I personally don’t think Everton have been given enough credit, with the Toffees irresistible at times at Goodison and well worthy winners.

Chelsea will be out for revenge on West Ham after they took all three points when the Blues travelled to the Boleyn Ground earlier in the season.

Goals from Mauro Zarate and Andy Carroll, either side of a Gary Cahill equaliser secured all three points for the Hammers, in a game that Nemanja Matic saw red.

The former striker went on to say:

Guus Hiddink has done a tremendous job of steadying the ship at Stamford Bridge and they can perhaps nick a likely cagey encounter in West London.

The game will definitely be more important for the travelling side as they set their sights on a top-four spot and Champions League football.

Chelsea’s season has become all but meaningless between now and the end of the season following their exit from both the Champions League and the FA Cup.
