Chelsea interim manager, Guus Hiddink was full of praise for Tammy Abraham following the full-time whistle at Anfield.
Speaking to club’s official website, Hiddink praised Abraham’s attitude after he came off the bench for Bertrand Traore to make his Chelsea debut against Liverpool.
The 18-year-old has been prolific in the Chelsea youth sides and has helped guide them to back-to-back UEFA Youth League titles and FA Youth Cup’s this season.
Hiddink praised the striker’s attitude:
I like the guy’s attitude very much. He is training every now and then with us. He has played a lot of games for the Under-21s, for the Under-19s, for the Under-18s, and that has obstructed him a bit to be with us for a long time, which is the most important thing, but he has been with us for a couple of weeks and you can see his potential.
Hiddink went on to say:
Of course he must grow with his little touches but that’s normal for an 18-year-old boy. He plays already physically like a man, and it’s nice to see those players coming from the Academy.
Abraham was just one member of a very youthful bench at Anfield which included Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Kenedy, Kasey Palmer and Fikayo Tomori, two players yet to make their debuts.

Hiddink has constantly been full of praise for the youth academy and has been hoping to include more of the club’s younger talents as his second spell at the club comes to an end.
The Dutchman could allow the youngsters to feature against Leicester on the final day, giving Antonio Conte a taste of what is to come at the club.
