Real Madrid plan Eden Hazard swap deal
Real Madrid are reportedly set to offer Chelsea £35million plus Alvaro Morata for the mercurial Belgium winger Eden Hazard, according to The Mirror.
Hazard has been in scintillating form for Belgium during their Euro 2016 campaign, recording one goal and three assists in just four games, with his superb display against Hungary capping off a sudden rise back to prominence for the 25-year-old.
As for Morata, well he has long been a target of Chelsea’s, and his prolific Euro 2016 campaign, scoring three goals in four games could sweeten the deal for the West London outfit.
Real Madrid are also aware of Chelsea’s interest in Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez. Despite having just moved back to Real Madrid – after they exercised their buy-back clause, Morata is seemingly back on the market for around £40million . Which would make any deal for Eden Hazard worth around £75million.
Antonio Conte may, however, want to keep hold of Hazard, due to his undeniable ability and the hope that a successful Euro 2016 campaign may kick start a return to the sort of form he displayed in Chelsea’s title winning season of two years ago.
Morata may also be seen as an extraneous target for Chelsea following their inevitable capture of Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi for more than £30million pounds.
