New Chelsea signing, David Luiz has admitted he is hoping to win titles, specifically, the Premier League during his second spell at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Luiz touched on the fact he never managed to secure the league title the first time around at Chelsea but is hoping to re-write his wrongs under Antonio Conte.

The Brazilian sealed a shock return to England after re-signing from Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day for a whopping £34million, just two years after leaving the club.

It is time to do it! And I hope it will be this year. I am working hard for that and this is our goal this season. We don’t have the Champions League to fight for so for sure we will try to win the Premier League and both cups.

Since leaving Stamford Bridge, he had been a familiar face with Chelsea establishing a rivalry with French giants, PSG in the Champions League. The Brazilian scored at Stamford Bridge from a corner when Laurent Blanc’s men knocked out the Blues.

He had this to say about the meetings between the two sides.

Two very big clubs so they were tough games. The quality was quite the same so I was trying to enjoy them and to win and I was lucky, because all the times I won these ties. I went to the next round with both sides.

Luiz admitted that wherever Conte is planning to utilise him in the squad, he’s happy.

I started playing three at the back with Vitoria in Brazil, but it doesn’t matter where, I want to help and when I am in the team I am there to try to help. The coach is an amazing coach, he understands a lot of tactical things and I know he chooses every match the best line up, so if he needs to play three, four or two, it doesn’t matter, I am there if he wants me to play. In different positions I am available.
