Chelsea join Liverpool in race to sign midfielder
Liverpool have been linked with a January loan move for Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia by Calciomercato and, according to new reports, Chelsea are also interested in the French star.
Kondogbia arrived at the San Siro in the summer of 2015 for £30m from AS Monaco and has failed to live up to the price tag thus far which has prompted the powers at be to consider offloading him.
Eager to offload the 23-year-old, Inter Milan are willing to send the midfielder out on loan until the end of the season in January with an option to make the move permanent for €22m and Chelsea are reportedly interested in such a deal.
Antonio Conte looks like he’ll let John Obi Mikel leave the club in January and there are doubts over Cesc Fabregas’ future too, so it makes sense that the club could be looking for possible replacements and although his time in Italy hasn’t gone exactly to plan, Kondogbia is clearly a talented player.
