Chelsea submit bid for Oscar replacement
Chelsea have submitted a bid for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder, Hakan Calhanoglu, according to Turkish Football.
The Blues see the Turkish international as a direct replacement for Brazilian midfielder, Oscar, who left the club for Chinese Super League side, Shanghai SIPG this January.
Calhanoglu has scored five goals and made six assists in all competitions already this season. He is known for his ability from set pieces and dead ball situations. An area that the Blues have been less than prolific from this season.

The Premier League leaders have scouted the midfielder throughout the season and face competition from Manchester United for his signature.
The report suggests that a January move could be tough for Antonio Conte’s side to push through, making a summer deal the more likely outcome.
Calhanoglu has two years remaining on his contract but has consistently been linked with moves away from Leverkusen following a string of impressive performances.
The Leverkusen midfielder is Germany born but has represented Turkey 26 times in total throughout his career.
