Chelsea put their name into the hat for the next for the FA Cup by beating Wolves 2-0 away from home.
Goals from Pedro and Diego Costa were enough to seal the win for Antonio Conte’s side.
Chelsea started the game slowly and Wolves had the bit between their teeth as they looked to take an early lead.
Former Chelsea academy prospect George Saville gave Asmir Begovic a worry in the first half as he struck the post.
After a poor first half performance, Conte may sure he got his players firing in the second half in a much improved 45 minutes.
In the end, Chelsea controlled the second half well and coasted past the Championship outfit, who caused the Blues some problems during the first half.
The draw for the FA Cup quarter-final will take place on Monday evening. Following a few cup upsets over the weekend, the Blues will fancy themselves to complete the double this season.
Asmir Begovic -6
Looked like a player that hasn’t featured in a while. Started nervously but was never really tested in the end.
Victor Moses - 6
Didn’t have his greatest game. His end product really let him down against the Paul Lambert’s side, his tireless work-rate kept him in the game.
Kurt Zouma - 5
Looked drastically short of match sharpness, as to be expected for a player returning from an injury this serious.
John Terry - 7
It looked as if his pace was going to be exploited but he had a strong game against Wolves’ tricky front three.
Nathan Ake - 7
His best performance in a Chelsea shirt. Looked comfortable both in central defence and out wide, as a wing-back.
Pedro - 7
Started as a wing-back and struggled but shined once he moved into a move advanced position. Took his goal excellently.
Nathaniel Chalobah - 5
Struggled to get into the game as was largely ineffective in midfield.
Cesc Fabregas - 8
Proved his worth again with an excellent range of passing from the Spaniard.
He oozed class against Wolves and controlled the game from deep.
Willian - 6
Set up Pedro’s goal brilliantly but didn’t do too much either side of that.
Eden Hazard - 6
Looks in need of a rest. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but he could have been rested against Wolves, leaving him ready for Swansea.
Diego Costa - 7
Worked his socks off against a couple of old fashioned defenders and he got his goal as a reward.
