Abraham returns to Chelsea for treatment
Tammy Abraham has returned to Chelsea from Bristol City for treatment on a thigh injury.
According to Sky Sports, the injury is expected to keep the striker sidelined for around three weeks, in what has been a hugely successful one for the player.
Lee Johnson said:
He’ll be out for two or three weeks. Chelsea are taking care of Tammy at the moment. We’ll get him back here in a week to ten days.
Abraham suffered the injury during the 2-1 defeat away to Leeds and was forced off in the first-half, being replaced by January signing Matty Taylor.
In his first year of senior football, Abraham has taken the Championship by storm scoring 21 goals in 38 appearances so far.
The striker started the season in brilliant form, but Bristol City hit a tough run of form that has forced to look over their shoulder, as they find themselves in a relegation battle.
City are now just two points above the relegation zone in the Championship, despite Abraham’s goals, but the club do have a game in hand. The Robins have only won one game in their last five games.
