Chelsea have made a €60m bid to Juventus for winger Kingsley Coman, who is currently on loan with Bayern Munich, according to reports in France.
The 20-year-old has a clause in his loan at Munich that allows them to purchase him for around £18m and the German champions intend to activate it, but the player still has the right to reject the move if he wishes.
According to the report, Chelsea are hoping to persuade him to move to London rather than stay with the Bundesliga side.
Juventus would, of course, rather see him move to the Blues as it is much better for them financially but they are unable to dictate where to sell him due to the clause in the two-year loan deal they agreed with Bayern.
The French international missed a portion of the season due to injury but since returning to fitness, he’s found himself sitting on the bench rather than starting.
If he feels that his game time at Bayern is going to be reduced in the future, he could well decide to move to Chelsea where Antonio Conte could probably use him in the role that Pedro and Willian have been sharing as part of the front three.
