Willian dismisses any chance of moving to United
After reports linking Willian to a move away from the club to Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, the Brazilian has confirmed that his future remains at Chelsea.
During last season his form was magnificent and he stood out from the rest of the players whilst Chelsea struggled and finished 10th in the Premier League table.
But now the form of Eden Hazard and former Barcelona winger, Pedro along with the switch in formation which changed Chelsea’s fortune after the 3-0 loss at Arsenal, Willian hasn’t been able to get as much game time under Antonio Conte.
Discussing his Chelsea future he told the Daily Star: “My future is here with Chelsea, I have a contract until 2020 and I’m happy.”
He also discussed the amount of playing time he has had this season:
“I know sometimes players always want to play but I understand why I’m not playing much.”
This will be good news for Chelsea and their fans, as they now have confirmation where the player wants his future to lie after speculation has mounted in the recent weeks.
