Dominic Solanke’s future remains very much up in the air with the striker and Chelsea in a stand-off over a new contract.

To date, Solanke has made just one senior appearance for Chelsea after making a name for himself in the youth ranks at both club and international level.

The striker wished to leave Chelsea on loan at the start of the season in a bid to play some first-team football but the club would only allow such an exit if he put pen-to-paper on a new contract and after the two parties failed to reach an agreement he was not allowed a loan move.

A similar stand-off occurred in January which now sees the talented young forward set to leave the club when his contract expires in the summer.

Liverpool are said to be interested in signing the player, as are Celtic, but RB Leipzig, who are second in the Bundesliga, also have a strong interest in signing Solanke, claims the Daily Mail.

Solanke will be one of the most sought-after free agents in the summer and it remains to be seen where his future lies.
