Chelsea target Morata to be offered new Real deal
Chelsea have been linked with a move for Alvaro Morata for some time now, but it looks as though Real Madrid have their sights set on keeping hold of him.
According to a report from Calciomercato, the Blues’ pursuit of the Spain international is set to take a blow in the coming weeks, with Real offering him a new and improved contract at the club.
Morata’s value has been reportedly set at around €60 million, with this likely to be enough to lure him away from the Bernabeu this summer, but Zinedine Zidane is keen to keep the powerful striker at his disposal.
It’s claimed in the report that the Real academy product is to be offered a huge deal worth up to €7.5 million a year, which is quoted as a huge rise on his current deal.
AC Milan are also said to have shown interest in Morata, with him proving his quality from his time in the Serie A with Juventus.
