Chelsea youngster will get a chance to impress in pre-season
The father of Chelsea’s Charly Musonda has confirmed he will be given a chance to impress before the club decide whether or not to send him out on loan again.
As reported by HLH, Musonda has been told that he will not be leaving on loan in the immediate future, with his father expecting the player to be given the chance to impress Antonio Conte during their pre-season campaign.
“Chelsea has indeed said Charly Jr. can not leave the club. He would get chances to play next season. Should it come to turn a loan, there are options other than a return to Belgium,” explained the player’s father.
The Belgian spent the second half of the season back with the Chelsea first-team after not featuring regularly for Real Betis in Spain.
He did not make a single appearance for the Blues since returning to the club with a knee injury keeping him sidelined.
Musonda has often been seen as one of the shining lights of the Chelsea academy in recent years, but after a poor season in Spain, he has regressed and his next move will be crucial in his development.
