Huddersfield Town are in advanced talks with Chelsea as they look to sign forward Izzy Brown on a permanent deal, as per a report from the Telegraph’s John Percy.

Brown impressed during the second part of last season whilst on loan at the Terriers as he helped them gain promotion to the Premier League and now David Wagner wants to sign him permanently.

The 20-year-old’s prospects of playing regular first-team football at Chelsea next season look very slim so he’s likely to be keen to make the move so that he can play top-flight football every week and do so for a team who he’s familiar with.

Chelsea are reportedly going to ask for around £8million for the forward and Huddersfield are seemingly happy to pay that, even though they’ve already committed to spending £10million on Manchester City’s Aaron Mooy, another player who spent time on loan with the play-off winners last season.
