Chelsea to make second bid for Sandro
Chelsea will continue their pursuit of Juventus full-back Alex Sandro, by offering an improved deal said to be closer to €70m, according to reports in Italy.
It’s claimed in today’s printed edition of Tuttosport, as covered by Sport Witness, that the Bianconeri’s representative Beppe Marotta has confirmed that the Serie A champions have received an offer from the Blues. However, it is claimed that Juve intend to turn this offer down.
The Italian newspaper have reported that with Juve right-back Dani Alves seemingly on the verge of joining Premier League side Manchester City, the Old Lady have decided that selling Alex Sandro as well is no longer in their best interests.
It states that Juventus are likely to resist a second Chelsea approach, however, they may begin looking for a replacement if the player says that he wants to leave.
The news comes just days after Antonio Conte was reported to be close to signing a new deal at Stamford Bridge, which will come as music to the ears of all Chelsea fans.
