Six teams in the race to sign Kurt Zouma
While we’re no closer to sorting out the future of Kurt Zouma, more and more clubs from across Europe have joined the race to sign the out-of-favour centre-back.
The Mirror claim that six clubs are interested in Zouma: Ligue 1 clubs OGC Nice, Marseille and Lyon, La Liga outfits Sevilla and Valencia and Serie A side Inter Milan.
A severe knee injury suffered midway through the 2015/16 season delayed Zouma’s start of the season during the last campaign and limited him to just three Premier League starts and 14 appearances across all competitions.
It appears as if Antonio Conte has come to the decision to send the France international out on a season-long loan to play some regular games having fallen behind Nathan Ake and now Andreas Christensen in the pecking order.
Chelsea want to improve their defence this summer and are said to be closing in on a deal for Juventus wing-back Alex Sandro while they appear to have missed out on his teammate, Dani Alves, who is tipped to join Manchester City.
