Man Utd offer contract to Chelsea target Nainggolan
Antonio Conte wants to add to is midfield with Nemanja Matic potentially on his way to Manchester United, and Conte is reportedly interested in bringing Radja Nainggolan to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The 29-year-old central midfielder is regarded as one of the best that Serie A has to offer but Roma are reluctant to let him leave the club.
Under contract until 2020, Chelsea are reportedly willing to offer £42m to bring the Belgian midfielder to the club this summer, but they face competitions from Manchester United.
According to Italian newspaper Il Tempo, United have put a contract forward to Nainggolan, with personal terms worth £6.6m-per-season after tax.
Nainggolan recently spoke out about his future:
When you play football you have to make choices and last season my choice was to stay [at Roma].
We’ll see [what will happen this summer]. I’m going to go on vacation and then we will talk about it.
Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko is poised to join Chelsea in a £36m deal, but Nainggolan would give the Blues another excellent option in midfield, but it seems as if United are ahead in the race.
