Deal close! Player tells club he wants to move to Chelsea
Alex Sandro has informed Juventus of his desire to move to Chelsea this summer, Eurosport reports.
The player has been linked with a summer move that now appears to be edging closer. The report suggests that it is now down to the two clubs to finalise a fee for the player.
Juventus will reportedly demand a huge figure somewhere in the region of €70 million, which converts to just over £60 million.
Sandro joined Juventus in 2015 from FC Porto and has been a mainstay in their system since his arrival. During his time in Italy, he has won two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italias and helped the Old Lady reach the Champions League final last season.
Juventus are already preparing for Sandro’s departure by planning moves for AC Milan’s Mattia De Sciglio and Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian.
The Italian giants now face the prospect of losing both Sandro and Dani Alves, who himself had been linked to Chelsea, but looks set to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
