Chelsea told to pay £79m for Ousmane Dembele
Despite the impending arrival of Alex Sandro from Juventus for a club-record £61m fee, Chelsea are expected to smash that record soon at some point later in the transfer window on a big-name forward.
While the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Romelu Lukaku have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, the Blues are being heavily linked with Ousmane Dembele as well this summer.
The talented French winger scored 10 goals and provided 21 assists during his debut season at Borussia Dortmund and is also believed to be on the radar of both Manchester United and Barcelona this summer.
Chelsea want to add some more dynamic players to their forward line this summer as they look to defend their Premier League crown, but according to Telefoot via the Metro, they would need to shell out £79m if they want to sign Dembele.
Antonio Conte seems ready to splash some serious cash this summer to bolster the Chelsea squad, but it’s going to take a serious fee to sign Dembele, provided they can convince the Frenchman to snub Manchester United and Barcelona as well.
