Manchester City refuse to sell Sergio Aguero to Chelsea
Manchester City are adamant that they will not sell striker Sergio Aguero to Chelsea or any other Premier League team this summer, the Independent reports.
Aguero is currently in the United States with the rest of the Manchester City squad on the team’s pre-season tour and the club have no intentions of selling the Argentinean to Chelsea.
Gabriel Jesus replaced Aguero as City’s first choice striker towards the end of last season which has thrown Aguero’s future at the club into doubt.
Reports over the past week have linked Chelsea with a move for Aguero as they look to bolster their forward options, having missed out on signing Romelu Lukaku and Diego Costa’s departure from Stamford Bridge looking imminent.
Further doubt is being thrown over Aguero’s future due to Pep Guardiola’s open pursuit of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.
City still consider the 29-year-old who has three years left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium to be their most valuable player and they are not looking to sell him, particularly not to a domestic rival.
