Kane would be Conte’s ideal signing
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte says that Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and that he would be his ideal signing.
Conte admits that, if he could sign any striker for Chelsea, he would sign Kane – claiming that Kane is one of the most complete forwards in the business.
Kane has hit over 20 Premier League goals in each of the last three seasons since breaking into the Tottenham first-team.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Conte said this:
For me, Kane, now, is one of the best strikers in the world.
If I had to buy one striker I would go to Kane. He is a complete striker. He is strong physically, with the ball, without the ball, he fights and he’s strong in the air and acrobatic on the right and the left. He’s a complete player. He’s one of the top strikers in the world.
He spent time on loan to Millwall, Leicester and Norwich earlier in his career but finally made his breakthrough in 2014.
Since then, Kane has netted 75 Premier League goals in just three years; 20, 25 and 29.
The England international scored 35 goals in 38 games in all competitions for Spurs last season and is one off 100 goals for the club.
The striker has also scored eight goals in 19 caps at senior level for England.
