Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose will prefer a move to Premier League champions Chelsea over Manchester United should he leave the North London club this summer after claiming that he wants to win silverware, according to a report on Bleacher Report.
The Englishman has grown frustrated with his wages and the lack of silverware that he has won during his time with Spurs and has been linked with a move to either Chelsea or Manchester United this summer.
The Times report that Rose will request Spurs to let him leave if Antonio Conte makes a firm offer for his services, with the North London club valuing the full-back at £50m.
However, Spurs are adamant that the defender is not for sale and Rose himself has apologised over the comments which he made regarding the club’s wage structure and ambition.
Chelsea boss Conte is looking to strengthen in all areas of his squad and has been targeting a left sided player for some time after negotiations with Alex Sandro broke down earlier in the summer.
The Blues are looking to add around four players before the transfer window slams shut but this may prove to be too much for the club.
Conte is not happy with the depth of his squad and is targeting Rose and hopes to beat his rival Jose Mourinho to his signature.
