Chelsea start off their Premier League campaign against Burnley at Stamford Bridge this Saturday, but prior to that we look ahead to what the season could hold for Antonio Conte’s men.

Former Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has joined for a club-record fee to bolster the forward line, but due to the imminent departure of Diego Costa, the sale of Dominic Solanke and Tammy Abraham’s loan move to Swansea, Chelsea have been left with a depleted strike force – with Michy Batshuayi the only back up to the Spaniard.

Nathan Ake, Asmir Begovic, Nemanja Matic (who has moved to title rivals Manchester United) and a whole host of academy prospects, including Nathaniel Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have departed the club over the summer – leaving Chelsea with just 14 squad players going into the season. Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger and Willy Caballero have however come into the club, and their experience at the top level of the game should help Chelsea in the Champions League.
