Chelsea seemingly end interest in Serge Aurier
Despite their glaring need for at least one more wing-back in the squad, Chelsea are seemingly ready to end their interest in one of the top players on the market at the position.
PSG are willing to part-ways with right-back Serge Aurier after they signing Dani Alves from Juventus, and Chelsea were among those interested in signing the player.
Manchester United were also linked with Aurier, but the 24-year-old has now agreed personal terms with three different clubs in Europe: Tottenham, Juventus and Inter Milan, according to L’Equipe.
An overhanging assault case is preventing Aurier from being able to secure a work permit for a move to the Premier League, which could be why Chelsea have decided not to press ahead with a move for the Ivory Coast international.
While Manchester United and Chelsea now move on to other targets, the Blues have been linked with Southampton pair Cedric Soares and Ryan Bertrand, and are keen on signing Liverpool target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal.
