Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda has been urged to earn his place in the Chelsea first-team.
According to the Mirror, the young Belgian has been ordered to do his talking on the pitch following his somewhat cryptic message he posted on Instagram in recent times.
The message has since been deleted, but a post from Musonda read:
You sacrifice, you work hard, harder, you give more than what’s expected, and often more than you can, because you love what you do and clearly more than you should. And what do you get back? Literally nothing… done.
However, with this being said I will continue with same dedication and commitment to this great game.
The post was interpreted as a dig towards Chelsea following his recently limited chances, and although it’s alleged that this wasn’t the case, Musonda is failing to convince many given the post’s evident frustrations.
Musonda made his full debut for the club last month in Chelsea’s thumping win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup. He impressed on the night, but has been largely overlooked since.
The Blues have a number of quality, attacking options in the squad, and it appears as though boss Antonio Conte is favouring his experienced heads over Musonda at this stage – a player who clearly has a lot to prove.
