Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is set to miss the rest of October due to injury.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are expecting Kante to be out for the rest of the month after picking up an injury on international duty.

The former Leicester man was substituted in the first-half of France’s World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria with a hamstring injury.

The report now claims that this could rule him of Chelsea’s next six games in all competitions.

Kante was superb last season as Chelsea won the Premier League, and has been a steady performer so far this campaign.

Conte now has both him and Danny Drinkwater unavailable for selection in midfield – the duo who won the Premier League together with Leicester.

Tiemoue Bakayoko and Cesc Fabregas could now be Conte’s preferred midfield duo.

Chelsea have already been dealt a big injury blow to their top goalscorer Alvaro Morata.

The club-record signing is set to miss the next month after suffering a muscle injury against Manchester City before the international break.
