Michy Batshuayi set for January exit
Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi could find himself on the way out of the club in January as Antonio Conte looks to make changes to his squad, according to a report from Matt Law of the Telegraph.
The Belgian international has found game time hard to come by under Conte and he’s hardly set the world on fire when he has played. At the weekend, he was replaced by Pedro after less than an hour and he made it clear that he wan not happy with being taken off.
Law suggests that the only reason Batshuayi is still at Chelsea is because Tottenham hijacked their summer bid to sign Fernando Llorente. Conte had planned to send the Belgian out on loan if he’d have been able to sign the Spanish striker from Swansea.
Conte reportedly read Chelsea’s stars the riot act after the loss to Palace and it looks like Batshuayi could be one of the players who suffers most from the manager’s decision to freshen things up.
