According to the Metro, Chelsea have identified Monaco super scout Luis Campos as a replacement for Michael Emenalo, who left the club after Chelsea’s win over Manchester United.

Emenalo left the club after his relationship with Antonio Conte turned sour over the summer transfer window after not agreeing on transfers coming in or out of the club.

His departure has left a big hole at Chelsea, leaving them without a technical director but they have moved swiftly in a pursuit of a new man and Campos is the front-runner.

Campos is one of the best scouts in football, who has been praised for the job he’s done at Monaco, who have produced talents such as Anthony Martial, Kylian Mbappe, Thomas Lemar, Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva and current Chelsea midfielder, Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Campos is interested in the job at Chelsea ans his ability to find promising young talent fits in very well with the youth system they have in place at Stamford Bridge.

Campos was former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho’s, scout when at Real Madrid.
