Chelsea join Man Utd in race to sign Malcom
Both Eden Hazard and Willian have been linked with completing big money transfers away from Stamford Bridge and Chelsea are considering contingency plans should one of them leave.
After an impressive start to the season with Bordeaux, Brazilian forward Malcom is a target for the Blues, but they’ll face competition from Arsenal and Manchester United for his signature, according to Mercato 365.
Manchester United have scouted the winger on a number of occasions this season and have come away impressed, with Malcom netting five goals and providing four assists in 13 Ligue 1 appearances so far this season.
The Brazil U20 international was picked up for what looks like a bargain, joining Bordeaux in January 2016 for just €5m from Corinthians and he’s already being tipped for a breakthrough into the Brazil senior international squad in the near future.
Chelsea are lacking in options in their forward areas and remain an injury or two away from a real crisis, but bringing in a player like Malcom would give them another top talent to add to the squad.
