Chelsea to be rivalled by Manchester United for Alex Sandro
Chelsea’s pursuit of Juventus defender Alex Sandro has been well documented since the summer transfer window.
The Brazilian defender is understood to be keen on departing Turin as he seeks a new challenge, and Chelsea’s interest doesn’t appear to have disintegrated.
However, if they are to make a move for Sandro, they may be faced with intense competition. According to a report from the Daily Record, as cited by Football London, Manchester United also want to sign the former Porto defender.
Sandro has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the world in the last 18 months, turning in some glittering displays for Juventus.
Along with this, Sandro has experience of playing as a left wing-back, which is sure to be attractive to Chelsea given Antonio Conte’s favoured three at the back systems.
Manchester United are lacking depth in the left-back role, though, and it seems Sandro is on their radar.
