Chelsea’s busy Christmas period continues as they prepare to welcome Stoke at Stamford Bridge.
Just days after seeing off Brighton at the Bridge it’s an out-of-form Stoke side who face off against the Premier League champions.
Italian head coach Antonio Conte has already hinted that he could make changes to his side after a busy schedule, with a game on Wednesday against Arsenal also to come.
Here is who we think will start against Stoke on Saturday.
GK - Thibaut Courtois
Despite concerns about his future, the Belgian remains Chelsea’s number one.
RWB - Davide Zappacosta
Zappacosta could come into the starting XI to allow Conte to rest Victor Moses.
CB - Antonio Rudiger
Azpilicueta could be rested for the Arsenal game after a busy run of fixtures. The German impressed against Brighton and will be a solid deputy.
CB - Andreas Christensen
Christensen was rested against Brighton and it’s likely he’ll start against Arsenal, so Conte will want to get him back to sharpness.
CB - Gary Cahill
Cahill was brought back into the side against Brighton and he keeps his place.
LWB - Marcos Alonso
Alonso will be full of confidence after getting on the scoresheet again against Brighton.
CM - N'Golo Kante
Kante could be rested, but it’s hard to imagine a Chelsea team without him at the moment.
CM - Danny Drinkwater
Conte has hinted he will rotate his side and that could see Drinkwater get some more minutes under his belt.
RW - Willian
Willian could come back into the side to give Chelsea a different option going forward, switching to a 3-4-3.
LW - Eden Hazard
Conte has to rest him at one stage or another you’d have to think, but dropping him just does not seem like an option at the moment.
ST - Alvaro Morata
He could be rested with one eye on the Arsenal game but after scoring against Brighton, he should start.
