Chelsea were held to another draw, this time in less dramatic fashion than on Wednesday, as a much-changed team failed to find the back of the net.
The first-half saw very little goalmouth action with neither side producing a shot on target during the first 45 minutes.
Not one Chelsea player looked confident in possession and as a result, they created very little with Kennedy’s deflected effort the closest they came to breaking the deadlock.
Norwich were just as poor in possession but would still have been pleased to have restricted Chelsea, and both Josh Murphy and Alex Pritchard impressed in short bursts to keep Chelsea’s defence guessing.
There was a bit more energy in the second-half but still, Chelsea were unable to truly test Angus Gunn in the Norwich goal.
Willian came close with two driven efforts, the first of which forcing Gunn into a fingertip save. Alvaro Morata and Charly Musonda were brought on to try and grab a goal for the Blues, but to no avail, as Norwich held firm for a replay.
