Eden Dzeko’s move to Chelsea looking unlikely

The proposed transfer of striker Eden Dzeko to Chelsea looks unlikely to go through, according to Sky Sports.

The 31-year-old looked set to join the Premier League champions but that is no longer the case.

The former Manchester City forward, who won the league title during his time at the Etihad, was targeted to ease the burden on Alvaro Morata with manager Antonio Conte keen to add a target man to his squad.

However, Roma’s Sporting Director Monchi said on Wednesday the club had not received an acceptable offer for the striker and that does not appear to have changed.

The Blues are unlikely to give up on a move for the Bosnian at this point but the prospects of him joining Chelsea appear to be lower than they were earlier this week.
