QPR take Christie-Davies on trial
Queens Park Rangers have named another player for their U23’s squad, who is actually a Chelsea youth player, as per Get West London.
The Loftus Road side have taken Isaac Christie-Davies on trial as it looks like his contract at Stamford Bridge will not be extended.
Christie-Davies, who plays as a central midfielder, central attacking midfielder or even a left-winger, has been at Chelsea since joining the U15 setup.
However, his time at the Bridge looks to be coming to an end as his current contract runs out this summer and he will have to look for a move, as the Blues don’t look like offering an extension.
He has won the FA Youth Cup and the UEFA Youth League during his time so far at Chelsea, as well as the south section of the league with the U18’s.
The 20-year-old has also featured in the Checkatrade Trophy for the Blues, playing one game against Swindon Town last season.
So without making his mark on the first team, it looks like his stay at Chelsea, which began in the 2013/14 season, is coming to a close, and he may be moving down the road to Loftus Road, where he will be on trial for Ian Holloway’s boys, hoping to get more minutes under his belt and some senior action.
