Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been given a clean bill of health following a scare at the club’s training ground earlier in the week.
As per the Telegraph, the Frenchman fell ill during Friday’s training session with the first-team squad and fainted in front of his Chelsea teammates. The incident occurred only a couple of days before the club’s crunch clash at Manchester City.
Thankfully, it has emerged that Kante is not suffering from any newly-found heart problems or health concerns despite the shock incident at Cobham on Friday.
It’s stated in the report that Kante was treated immediately by a club doctor, with the Frenchman having passed out for a short period and slumped to one side in the team dressing room.
The ex-Leicester City man will have been relieved to discover that after numerous tests, he was cleared and declared healthy after the incident.
Kante was excluded from the squad that faced Manchester City on Sunday afternoon after he claimed to feel unwell. This came despite him being declared fit to face the runaway Premier League leaders.
