Chelsea have been handed a boost in their apparent pursuit of Lazio winger Felipe Anderson.
According to reports in Italy, as cited by talkSPORT, the Blues remain interested in signing the Brazilian from Lazio and are leading the race to lure him away from Italy this summer.
However, more notably, it’s claimed by Tuttosport that Simone Inzaghi will not stand in Anderson’s way if he does opt to leave. The report indicates that Lazio are willing to listen to offers from elsewhere as they look to offload the former Manchester United target.
The 24-year-old was once tipped for big things but has seen his progress stall as a result of a collection of injuries. Anderson has seen his first-team chances limited this season due to regular setbacks.
It’s stated that Lazio are unlikely to welcome offers below £15m, but news that they are willing to part with the winger is sure to come as a boost for Chelsea if their interest is indeed genuine.
