Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani is reportedly considering leaving the French giants this summer and if they do decide to let him move on, Chelsea are one of the sides who will look to sign him.
According to the print edition of French outlet Le Parisien, Cavani is ‘readying’ a move away from the Parc des Princes and if PSG are willing to cash in, Chelsea will join Atletico Madrid and Manchester United in the race to sign him.
Despite the Uruguayan being 31-years-old, PSG will still be looking for somewhere in the region of €60m for him, which seems slightly unrealistic.
However, they are likely to accept a lower fee to help them meet their FFP requirements and if the price is right, Antonio Conte will ask the Chelsea board to try to sign the hot-shot striker.
Cavani’s goal record at PSG has been phenomenal and if he could replicate that at Chelsea, he’d go a long way to filling the void at the club that has existed since Diego Costa was sold.
