Chelsea and PSG to fight for Luis Enrique this summer
Chelsea will need to fend off competition from PSG if they are to appoint Luis Enrique as their new manager this summer, according to the Daily Star.
The Blues have been linked with a move for the Spaniard for some time now as they weigh up their options as potential replacements for Antonio Conte, whose future is under immense scrutiny.
It’s been previously claimed that Enrique is the Chelsea’s board’s number one target to replace the Italian in the hot-seat. Although, they now appear to be faced with another potential suitor for the ex-Roma manager, as PSG consider moving for him.
With the Ligue 1 leaders having recently crashed out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, it seems likely that Unai Emery will be moved on at the end of the season. This has prompted claims that PSG may target Enrique as a replacement.
Enrique has been out of work since being relieved of his duties as Barcelona manager at the end of last season. However, he certainly won’t be short of options if he opts to get back into management this summer.
