Christie-Davies told he’ll leave Stamford Bridge this summer
After previously spending time on trial at Liverpool, Chelsea midfielder Isaac Christie-Davies has been told he will not have his contract renewed at the club.
ESPN reports that Chelsea have informed the midfielder of their decision and while the news will come as a blow to the player, it is something that has been on the cards for some time.
The youngster has previously spent time on trial with Liverpool, featuring in two games for Neil Critchley’s U23s side.
The Reds have a record for taking a chance on young players who have previously been discarded by bigger clubs.
One of the most notable examples in recent years comes in the form of Dominic Solanke, who left Chelsea to join Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Liverpool will be boosted in their hopes of completing a deal after having the player on trial, however, the midfielder is likely to attract plenty of interest this summer.
