Sheffield United target permanent Blackman move
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has confirmed that they will look into the possibility of signing Jamal Blackman on a permanent basis.
As reported by the Hull Daily Mail, Wilder admits that the club will have a conversation about a deal at the end of the season.
We’re trying to get the ball rolling because we like to work medium to long term as well. Jamal will come into consideration with a big end to the season.
The Chelsea loanee has impressed in United’s return to the second division, helping them remain in contention for a play-off place.
Blackman has impressed in between the sticks for United this season, prompting calls for the club to sign him permanently.
The 24-year-old is yet to make his senior debut for Chelsea and may consider a move away from the club to kick-start his career.
After coming through the ranks at Chelsea, Blackman has reached the stage of his career where he’ll be looking for regular first-team football.
Following spells at Middlesbrough, Ostersunds, and Wycombe, he may well have found a home in Sheffield.
