Chelsea closing in on Luis Enrique agreement
Chelsea are edging ever closer to reaching an agreement with Luis Enrique ahead of next season, according to a report from French news outlet Le Parisien.
It’s claimed in the report that although Enrique is on PSG’s managerial shortlist ahead of the summer, he is on the verge of joining Chelsea to become the club’s new boss.
Antonio Conte’s future at Chelsea has come under immense scrutiny throughout the course of the season. The Italian still has another season remaining on his contract but it seems his tenure at Stamford Bridge will be cut short.
A number of managers have been linked with a move to Chelsea but none more so than Enrique, who appears to be in line to take the reins in West London.
The 47-year-old has been out of work since the end of last season and is understood to be interested in managing in the Premier League.
Arsenal have also been linked with a swoop for Enrique to replace Arsene Wenger.
