Chelsea have begun talks with Nice to sign midfielder Jean Seri in the summer window.
According to French outlet L’Equipe, via Sport Witness, Chelsea are keen to add Seri to their squad this summer.
The report claims that Chelsea have made initial contact over a move for Seri as they look to improve their midfield ahead of next season.
Seri has an agreement with Nice that should allow him to leave the club for €40m in the summer, a fee which Chelsea can easily match.
Manchester City are also said to be keen on Seri, meaning that Chelsea are not going to be unopposed in their attempts to sign him.
The 26-year-old has been a star for Nice in midfield over the past few seasons and has attracted the interest of a number of top clubs.
Barcelona have been previously touted with a move for him, though that appears to have died down.
